Terms & Conditions

All customers of instant Swim are expected to read and agree to these terms & conditions prior to the use of any instant swim services, it is the responsibility of all customers to ensure you are aware of our terms & conditions before partaking in any activities/services we offer.

1.Pool rules:

1. Running on the poolside is not permitted under any circumstances.

2. Diving and jumping is not permitted unless under the supervision of an instructor.

3. Eating is not permitted in the pool area.

4. Fizzy drinks are not permitted in the pool area.

5. Smoking is not permitted in the pool area.

6. The locked areas and cupboards in the pool area are not to be forced open or damaged in any way, if damage/lock tampering is found then the hirer will be liable.

7. Children under 18 should be supervised by adults at all times.

8. Inflatables larger than 6ft are not permitted in the pool.

2. Payment Policy

2.1.Payments for all services must be made upfront, in the case of swimming lessons full payment for the four-week term is required twenty four hours before the first lesson, in the case of family swim sessions full payment must be made within 24 hours of booking.

2.2 Payments for services provided by instant swim are subject to change, these increases and decreases are made based on the operating cost of the swimming pool and inflation rates, any change in cost will be announced no less than 72 hours before any payment is due.

2.4 Any services paid for but not taken may be eligible for a refund subject to compliance with our refund & cancellation policy.

3. Refund & cancellation Policy.

3.1 All services may be cancelled providing sufficient notice is given directly to a member of the instant swim team, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for all cancellations.

3.2 Cancelation of a Private pool hire booking is eligible for a full refund provided 24 hours notice is given, if sufficient notice is not given instant swim will endeavour to reschedule the booking subject to availability.

3.3 Cancelations of swimming lessons are not eligible for a refund of any kind due to the limited number of spaces and planned structure of each class, an alternative ‘’catch up’’ lesson will be offered subject to availability.

3.4 Cancelations made by instant swim due to unforeseen circumstances may be made at any time, however, sufficient notice will be our number one priority at all times, any cancellations made by instant swim will be reimbursed by either a payback lesson if one can be arranged, a full refund or a lesson credit.

4. Adverse weather conditions

4.1 At instant swim the safety of our customers is of utmost importance to us, we are based in an area prone to severe storms and as a result of this we follow weather guidance closely, if advised to do so by the relevant sources any instant swim services may be cancelled due to pool closures.

4.2 Services cancelled due to severe weather conditions, such as flooding, severe snow, or storm winds are eligible for a credit or may be rescheduled subject to availability.

4.3 If we are not advised to close then any missed bookings will not be eligible for a credit however an alternative date can be arranged if possible.

5. Valuables

5.1 Instant Swim or any of the persons affiliated with instant swim can take no responsibility for personal items and valuables in the pool area, for this reason, we ask that you take care to not bring valuables with you and ensure anything brought with you is not left behind.

6. Child safety

6.1 All minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times, guardians are not permitted to leave minors unattended at all while on premises, if a minor is found unattended for an extended period of time then instant swim will follow the appropriate course of action to contact the child's legal guardian, if not successful the necessary authorities will be contacted to handle the matter in accordance with the law.

6.2 Video/photographic equipment of any kind is not permitted in the pool area at any time during group swimming lessons, (i) under no circumstances will recorded footage be released to anybody outside of law enforcement services, and such people may only gain access to the footage with the correct documentation.

6.3 unknown persons will not be allowed to bring students to swimming lessons unless instant swim is notified prior to the lesson.

7. Environmental safety.

7.1 instant swim will perform regular maintenance checks to ensure all equipment is in good working order, and endeavour to minimise harm and/or risk to any persons on our premises.

7.2 instant swim can not take any responsibility for equipment that is used incorrectly by customers, or harm caused due to tampering.

7.3 Our pool will be tested monthly for water quality to ensure the health and safety of all pool users, all records will be kept and made available to anybody who wishes to see them on request.

7.3 The car park is not the responsibility of instant swim and we can therefore take no responsibility for any harm caused to persons or damage caused to vehicles in the car park.

7.4 Breaching of any of the restricted areas designated for staff only will negate any responsibility that may fall to instant swim due to harm caused in these areas and may be treated as an act of trespass.

8. Policy for infectious disease transmission

8.1 Any student carrying an infectious disease may not participate in any swimming lessons provided by instant swim, (i) It is the sole responsibility of the student (or in the case of a minor) the legal parent or the guardian to report any infectious disease or ailment that may be passed to other students, the instant swim can take no responsibility for transmissions caused while information is knowingly withheld by the responsible party.

8.2 In the event of an infectious disease becoming known within 48 hours after a swimming lesson has taken place it is the responsibility of the student (or in the case of a minor) the legal parent/ guardian to inform instant swim to minimize the risk of further infection.

8.3 Instant Swim will take all reasonable steps to minimise the transmission of infectious diseases while on our premises, these steps will include but are not limited to, regular cleaning of all surfaces, maintaining a correct swimming pool water chemistry to thoroughly sterilize the water, providing sanitiser for the use of all customers, and coating all contact points in long-lasting antimicrobial sanitisers to reduce the germination of bacteria and viruses.

9. Private pool hire bookings.

9.1 It is the responsibility of the named booker to ensure all members of their party are familiar with and follow all pool rules.

9.2 Private pool hire bookings are private non-lifeguarded sessions and the health & safety of each party falls to the person who made the booking with Instant Swim.

9.3 Each booking will cover sixty minutes of pool time with five minutes before and five minutes after each booking being permitted for changing, (i) Exceeding this allowed time period may result in a member of staff entering the building to make you aware of the fact our time has expired.

9.4 Instant Swim staff reserve the right to enter the building at any time to perform necessary tasks, provided these tasks are deemed essential and not completing them may cause harm to any instant swim staff or customers.

9.4 Damage caused to the premises during a Private pool hire booking will not be permitted, it will be the responsibility of the booking holder to pay for any and all damage caused to the premises during the allotted time period.

9.5 Theft of any equipment is not permitted, the primary persons who made the booking will be held accountable for any theft that is committed during their booking by any member of their party and will be held financially accountable.

9.6 Instant Swim reserves the right to make a charge to the card used during the booking process for any damage and/or theft that is deemed purposeful by Instant Swim, a notice will be issued to the booker by email detailing the incident in question, any evidence we hold in regards to the incident, and an itemised list of charges made.

10. Disclaimer.

Instant Swim will always endeavour to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all customers, however, swimming pools can be inherently dangerous places.

Our terms and conditions are set out to help minimise the risk of harm coming to people enjoying our facilities, breaching any of the above terms will result in instant swim not being held accountable to any harm that may come to persons as a result.
